Boxing

Whether you’re interested in training for competition or simply want to get in the best shape of your life, our boxing classes will teach you the fundamentals of the sport while giving you an amazing total body and  meditative, sweat-dripping workout that combines boxing technique, guided rounds on the heavy bag, Mitt work, and head-to-toe conditioning, as well as speed and agility drills. You’re led from start to finish through a technique-based, high intensity, and process-driven  session  that benefits both your body and your mind.

Improve lean muscle tone, core strength and cardiovascular endurance while you enhance your mood, lower stress levels and boost self-confidence with this holistic boxing workout.  Expect greater stamina, increased energy and flexibility, better coordination, quicker reaction time, enhanced self-confidence, and more strength and body-awareness.

No experience necessary.

Kickboxing

This class is unlike any other Kickboxing Class you will try! Deeply rooted in Muay Thai, it incorporates traditional kickboxing concepts, powerful striking combinations and explosive plyometric drills. You will work on the heavy bag as well as focus pads and receive plenty of attention and coaching, it's a perfect fit for all skill levels!

Kid Box

This program is designed to teach the fundamentals of boxing, kickboxing,  self-defense and discipline through the use of drills and activities aimed at increasing their skills and self-confidence.

The program is 6 weeks long and open to children 7 and older. 

Personal Training

King James Boxing and Fitness is all about keeping it personal. Whether you want to improve your boxing/kickboxing technique, learn reality based self defense, or find new ways to burn fat and tone muscles, I can design a workout specifically for you. Women's Self Defense

Women come to KJB to learn self-defense but leave with confidence, empowerment and a sense of community. KJB offers reality based self-defense along with group fitness classes, and other martial arts such as Boxing,  Muay Thai, and MMA. 


Women have different motivations for learning how to protect themselves.  Women learn self-defense:

  • to protect themselves.
  • to get stronger and more fit.
  • to learn conflict management and de-escalation techniques.
  • to join a supportive community.


The world is an exciting and vibrant place, but can also be frightening.  Women are often seen as vulnerable and easy targets, and some frightening numbers seem to support that notion. In fact, here are some alarming statistics:

  • Every 9 seconds in the United States, a woman is assaulted or beaten.
  • A woman of 21 years of age has a 25% risk of becoming a victim of violent crime in her life.

Those grim numbers show that no woman is ever completely safe. Many perpetrators choose women as their victims because women are seen as passive and less likely to fight back. This does not have to be so, and women can even use this perceived passivity to their advantage. There are many ways for women to protect themselves but they must also be equipped and prepared to defend themselves if they are ever attacked.

Empowerment through Self-Defense

Self-defense is the most effective and straightforward way women can use to avoid dangerous situations and protect themselves. It’s always better to avoid a violent attack than to go through one and attempt to survive it. Women’s self-defense classes don’t only teach practical and effective martial arts, they also cover numerous ways to avoid and navigate dangerous situations.

My Women’s self-defense classes offer a wide range of approaches and processes designed to keep women safe at all times. Some of the subjects covered in the women’s self-defense classes are:

  • Learning basic self-defense moves will form a foundation going forward and provide self-confidence that a sense of protection is attainable.
  • Spotting potentially dangerous situations can help avoid dangerous situations.
  • Fitness and strength training to be in the best shape to help women protect themselves.
  • Learning the best body parts to hit for maximum effectiveness.
  • Simple and effective ways to avoid being attacked.
  • The best ways to call for help when in distress.
  • Trusting your instincts can help save your life.
  • Maintaining a strong body language will present an air of confidence and invulnerability.

Not only that, but women’s self-defense classes have some healthy and positive side effects. Participation naturally and organically builds up confidence, strength, awareness, and fitness.
